The Palatine Jaycees will turn over the reins of the organization to their new Board of Directors for the 2016 fiscal year at their Annual Awards and Installation Banquet to be held January 16th at the Falcon Park Recreation Center.
The new executive officers for the Chapter are Pat De Marco, President; Joe Skibbie, Administrative Vice President; Brianne Lind, Chapter Management Vice President; Jessica Mainor, Community Development Vice President; Barbara Cima, Membership Development Vice President; Abbey Corbett, Individual Development Vice President; Audrey Doty, Treasurer; Rachel Smith, Secretary and Traci Hinshaw, Chairman of the Board.
There are also two Local Directors. The Local Directors act as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the general membership. They are also responsible for notifying the membership of activities within the Chapter. The Local Directors for 2016 are Steve Poduska and Bart Hickman.
“My team and I are excited by the growth in size of the chapter and the new projects that we will be launching in 2016,” said Pat De Marco, Palatine Jaycee President. “The Palatine Jaycees have always been involved in our community with projects like our Fourth of July Celebration and Christmas tree sale. All of the profits from our projects are donated back into the community in the form of donations, scholarships and grants. With the new members that are joining and their contributions to the chapter, look for more Jaycee projects and donations in the Palatine area.”
The Palatine Chapter of the Jaycees, one of 60 local chapters throughout Illinois, has over 100 members and is one of the largest chapters in Illinois. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.
The Palatine Chapter holds their monthly general meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.
