While many organizations may be winding down towards the end of the year, the Jaycees are going strong with many projects giving back to the community.
Recently Jaycee members were able to donate nearly $2,000 worth of items to the Palatine Township Food Pantry through a new project where they learned about couponing. The event, called Super Couponing, taught members about the great couponing and rebate opportunities shopping at CVS. Project chair Kevin Price reflected that he was “So thrilled to share my passion and knowledge of couponing and excited to give such an impactful donation to the township to support Palatine residents.” In total, after coupons and rebates, the group was able to make this donation with a net profit of four dollars!
After such a great success, Kevin will be continuing to share his knowledge with future Super Couponing classes focusing on other retailers and potentially offering a class through the township open to community members!
