Jaycees open Fall Back Brew Fest Saturday

The Palatine Jaycees will host their first brew fest on Saturday, November 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Park District’s Family Aquatic Center parking lot, 340 E Palatine Rd. Attendees who purchased VIP tickets in advance will be admitted at noon.

“We’re calling it the Fall Back Brew Fest because November 4 is the end of Daylight Saving Time, when we all ‘fall back’ an hour,” explained project co-chair Jen Hickman.

General admission tickets are still available for purchase online for $30, or at the event for $40. Attendees receive a souvenir glass and 20 – 3oz. tastings. Admission for designated drivers is $10. The event is strictly for adults 21 years and older.

Beer and cider from a wide variety of breweries will be featured, with an emphasis on local and regional breweries.

“We’re really excited about the breweries, from well-loved places like Goose Island and Half Acre, as well as some lesser-known, such as Hootenanny and Noon Whistle,” said event co-chair Traci Hinshaw.

A list of featured breweries, as well as more detailed event info, parking map, and FAQs can be found at https://palatinejaycees.org/fall-back-brew-fest/.

Proceeds from the event will fund the Palatine Jaycees and help continue their mission of providing young adults with leadership training through community service. The Palatine Jaycees is the area’s premier young people’s civic organization, with over 100 members leading award-winning projects to provide charitable grants, host community events, and improve skills. Chapter representatives will be available at the event to discuss the benefits of membership with anyone interested in joining the chapter.
