About Hometown Fest

Hometown Fest started as a one day Fourth of July celebration in 1957 and has grown to a 5-6 day Palatine community festival with free fireworks and free entertainment for families and friends.

The Palatine Jaycees have been running the festival since the beginning and today it takes over 100 individuals and close to 3,000 volunteer hours to give the festival to the community. Since 1957, the Jaycees have partnered and welcomed local business to participate in the parade, sponsorships, arts, craft and business expo and food stands. The Palatine Jaycees provide the fireworks show and entertainment each year.

All proceeds raised from the Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest support community grants, scholarships, the annual Easter Egg Hunt, fireworks and entertainment for this celebration, holiday giving programs and more.
