The Palatine Jaycees will host their third annual Family Field Day on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Rd.

The purpose of the event is to expose families to a variety of fun ways to increase their physical activity levels and make healthy lifestyle choices. Family Field Day is free for families and the activities are targeted to six to twelve year old kids. Activity stations will be set up both indoors and outdoors at the Palatine Park District’s Falcon Park Recreation Center in north Palatine.

Planned activity stations are shown in the table below. Volunteers at each station will teach skills and provide demonstrations. Activities are subject to change.

Kids who participate in the activity stations will be entered in a raffle for toys and games. At least ten raffle baskets will be awarded. All attendees will enjoy free healthy snacks and giveaways.

A parent or guardian must accompany children to the event and sign a waiver for the child to participate in the activities.

Local organizations and businesses with a focus on health and fitness are encouraged to contact the chapter at to learn how they can get involved. Sponsorship packages are available as well as activity station spots (see links above to download applications). Jaycees volunteers will be available to assist the event participants in setting up and running the activity stations.
